Ralph loves his new family!

Welcome back to The Puppy Pen!

It’s time to catch up with Ralph, your gorgeous sponsor puppy.

Ralph has settled wonderfully into his new home and he is already loving life. Ralph is living with Sam, his volunteer puppy trainer, who is giving him lots of love and raising him to be a happy, healthy and well-behaved puppy…

Ralph loves cuddles!

Ralph loved meeting all of his new family members, starting with Ozzie, the cat…

At first, Ralph and Ozzie kept their distance… but it wasn’t long until they became the best of friends!

Sam is also looking after another hearing dog in training, called Twix.

It’s safe to say that Ralph and Twix already love each other very much…

In fact, Ralph, Ozzie and Twix make quite the fluffy dream team…

It looks like we’ve interrupted an important meeting!

Learning to be relaxed and confident around other animals is an important part of Ralph's training. We want Ralph to feel happy meeting other animals when 'out and about' with his future deaf partner.

It’s also brilliant that Ralph is being brought up around older ‘brother’ Twix who is in the later stages of his hearing dog training. Twix will have a great calming influence on Ralph and teach him the ways of the world...

… including the best spots for a nap!

Ralph also loved meeting his human big ‘brother’ Isaac!

How sweet!

We can already tell that Ralph is going to do brilliantly in his training, as he is surrounded by so much love and fun. Ralph’s strong connection with his volunteer puppy training family will create an amazing foundation for the rest of his training. A hearing dog’s training is all about trust, confidence and most importantly… having fun!

That’s nearly all for today! It’s time for this cute pup to get some sleep…
