Welcome back to Amber's Puppy Pen!

Adorable Amber is excited to see you. Oh wait a minute, she appears to be in the middle of a deep snooze...

Wakey, wakey sleepy head!

“I’m awake, I'm up and ready to play!”

Little Amber is loving being looked after by her wonderful Volunteer Puppy Trainers, Amanda and Don. They are giving her lots of love and helping to raise her to become a happy, healthy and well-behaved puppy.

Don is also an excellent photographer and he has shared with us some of the amazing photos he has taken of Amber in the studio...

Gorgeous!

So, aside from being the cutest model ever, what else has Amber been up to?

Well, she has made a super start in her puppy training. She has started learning how to respond to basic cues, such as ‘sit’ and ‘wait’…

What a clever pup!

Learning to do a perfect ‘sit’ and ‘wait’ are very important skills that Amber will use throughout her entire hearing dog training and career. We want Amber to feel happy and confident to sit and wait in various situations with her future deaf partner, such as before crossing a busy road, or at the supermarket checkout.

Amber has also been exploring the outside world and has been practising walking nicely on her lead. Amber does get very excited while walking and occasionally incorporates a hop, skip and a jump into her walk too...

What a cutie! We love how enthusiastic Amber is to explore the big wide world.

As Amber progresses through her training, she will continue to perfect this important skill. One day, Amber be a pro at walking calmly on her lead and keeping her focus on her future deaf partner. We can't wait!

That's all for today. We hope you've enjoyed catching up with your beautiful sponsor puppy. Amber is making the world a brighter place, one paw print at a time.

Until next time, from all of us at Hearing Dogs, thank you so much for sponsoring Amber.
