Amber: The soulful-eyed fun-seeker

Posted by Elizabeth Murphy

Welcome to your first Puppy Pen - and thank you so much for sponsoring Amber!

Amber is an absolute joy to behold. She’s a delightful bundle of fun with the cutest orange spot on her head and the sweetest little freckles on her nose.

Put those gorgeous things together with her deep, soulful eyes and soft furry feet, and it’s impossible not to be smitten by her irresistible charm.

But adorable Amber isn’t just a pretty face. Lively, confident and a bit cheeky – she embodies the very essence of a playful Cocker Spaniel.

Whether she’s playing her favourite game of ‘Ready, Steady, Go’ or pouncing on the kitchen mop, Amber approaches everything with a zest for life that is truly contagious.

Amanda and Don, Amber’s volunteer puppy trainers, tell us she likes to sleep and hide in the funniest places. “We play our own version of ‘Where’s Wally?’ We’ll often say, ‘Where’s Amber?’ only to find her in her toy basket, buried amongst her teddies!” Like we said, adorable!

Amber is also very inquisitive. Even when sitting quietly, she’s busy exploring her surroundings and figuring out the world around her. And when it comes to discovering something new, Amber approaches every new object with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. With her adventurous spirit, there’s no doubt that Amber will grow up to be an amazing hearing dog one day.

Will Amber ever outgrow her favourite hiding spot amongst her toys? Can any mop stand a chance against her lightning-quick pounce? And which deaf person will she eventually help to feel loved instead of lonely? You’ll find out soon…

The next puppy pen will come out by the end of April.

In the meantime, thank you again for sponsoring Amber!
