Let's see more of Arya

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Let's take a step back in time and see how Arya came into this world!

How about a step back to, say, three days after she was born?

We run our own breeding scheme, which means we know the characteristics and history of all the dogs involved. For example, another sponsor pup, called Hebe, had such amazing attributes that she actually became a Hearing Dogs mum - and today, her son Leo is also a sponsor pup! Truly, from one generation to the next.

Anyway, back to Arya - and her family!

Here we have, from left to right, Aspen, Asti, Ashley, Ava, Alpha, Adelie, and then Arya. That's right - they're all from the 'A' litter. We give puppy litters letters (or is it letters litters?), a bit like the weather forecasters give storms alphabetical names but a lot less stormy and much more cuddly.

Time for a video. Here's Arya trying to get comfortable among so many siblings.

She seemed to find a very comfortable place next to (or is it on?) Adelie. We're not 100% sure which is which!

How about another video? Our clever team put this together, showing Arya's development over the first eight weeks of her young life.

Cute!

Arya lived with her mum for her first eight weeks, but is now living with a Volunteer Puppy Trainer. These wonderful people give a home to our puppies for about a year, bringing them up to be happy, healthy and well-behaved dogs. It's the start of an amazing journey that they - and you, as her sponsor - are going to take together.

So, let's sign off with a photo of Arya looking cute again.

All together now: Awwwwwwww!

Thank you so much for sponsoring Arya!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
