Arya is a confident Cockapoo - strong, smart, and sleepy

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Arya is almost – but not quite – exactly like her Game of Thrones namesake.

If you haven’t seen Game of Thrones, then first of all, we can tell you that the character Arya has a strong will. So does our Arya!

Even though she’s a tiny Cockapoo pup, she’s already holding her own in puppy class alongside four Labradors. That’s right, our little Arya might be small of stature, but she has more than enough confidence to go round.

She’s also smart – really smart. So smart in fact, that she recently removed all the doorstops at a craft fayre, closing the doors on the people attending. Fortunately, while she thought it was her bid to establish her own dominion, they all thought it was hilarious.

So she’s smart, independent and strong. But then she goes and ruins it all by falling asleep!

Liz, the volunteer who looks after her, explains: “She loves taking all her toys outside one by one, and then falls asleep among them. She just drops anywhere – awake one minute and asleep the next. She especially likes to snooze under the conservatory chairs.”

Believe us, there’s never been a Game of Thrones episode in which Arya fell asleep in a conservatory. So, as well as being ambitious, strong-willed and alert, this cuddly little Cockapoo is cute, cuddly, soft and sleepy.

Nevertheless, she’s forging her own destiny, growing up to be a wonderful hearing dog for a deaf person who needs to reconnect with life.

Here are some more photos of confident Cockapoo Arya...

From all of us at Hearing Dogs, thank you for sponsoring Arya!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
