Bella is happy in her new home

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Welcome to your Bella Puppy Pen! This is where we'll help you follow Bella's training journey. We're thrilled you could join us!

Do you think she's settling into her new home by now?

That's right - Volunteer Puppy Trainer Brenda and her husband Norman already adore her, and she's settled in with them perfectly.

So, she went for a little voyage to explore their home...

... then had a little nap.

Then she woke up again and decided to explore the outdoors. This included a fabulous ball pond which she decided she really, really liked...

... and a rather stony-faced fellow who she wasn't sure about at first...

... but then decided he seemed OK after a sniff.

Then it was time for another snooze...

... and another meet and greet with another friend. This one was much softer and more her 'thing'.

You can tell how confident she's feeling already. Her tail is up, and she's happy to move around the house completely freely. It's also testament to how well Brenda and Norman are looking after little Bella, that she's so relaxed and has so many lovely snoozy places. How's this for a safe, secure snooze?

Sweet dreams Bella!

We hope you enjoyed this latest instalment in Bella's amazing journey to become a hearing dog. It's incredible to think that one day, she'll help a deaf person to leave loneliness behind. It all starts here, with snoozes and adventures, all supported by your kindness. So, until next time, thank you for sponsoring Bella!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
