Buddy and his best buddy
Posted by Elizabeth Murphy
It’s time to catch up with the brilliant Buddy, who is progressing so well in his training.
Buddy is being gently introduced to busier places and the exciting world of public transport. This is an important part of his training as we want Buddy to be happy and comfortable accompanying his future deaf partner on different modes of transport.
Here is clever Buddy being the perfect passenger and looking very relaxed on his bus journey…
Buddy is still being looked after by Amanda and Don, who are his wonderful volunteer puppy trainers. Amanda and Don are also looking after another hearing dog in training, Nessa, who is also a beautiful black Labrador.
Buddy and Nessa have become the best of friends and they seem to enjoy doing everything together.
Whether that is playing in the woods…
…or playing at home…
There is never a dull moment with these two!
All of this playing is exhausting so it’s time for a nap. Buddy and Nessa have become such great friends that they love to share a bed… even if it’s a bit of a squeeze!
It is so sweet how relaxed they are in each other’s company.
Even if they are not sharing a bed… they are never too far from each other...
Buddy and Nessa even have their teeth cleaned at the same time… now that is impressive!
It is so great how happy and comfortable Buddy is around Nessa. Meeting, playing and interacting nicely with other dogs and animals is all part of Buddy’s training to become a well-rounded confident hearing dog.
As much as he loves Nessa, Buddy is also very happy to play on his own with his much-loved favourite cuddly toys…
… and he also enjoys having a private grooming session with Amanda (don’t tell Nessa!)
“This is the life!”
That’s it for now! We hope you’ve enjoyed hearing all about the fun Buddy has been having in his training. Buddy is such a sweet, clever, and gentle pup and one day he is going to change the life of his future deaf partner. This would not be possible without the kindness of people like you.
So, from everyone at Hearing Dogs, thank you so much for sponsoring beautiful Buddy.
