Brilliant Buddy photos

Buddy's Volunteer Puppy Trainers, Amanda and Don, are professional photographers - and it shows.

They recently took some wonderful shots of Buddy against white, and they show perfectly what an affectionate, gentle soul he is.

They're clearly smitten, as is Buddy!

We want all our puppies to be just like this - affectionate, caring, kind, looking after their deaf partners morning, noon and night. A lot of our deaf partners tell us that it's the best way to start the day, being woken up with a friendly lick by a happy puppy eager to share another adventure together.

Of course, as well as photo shoots, they've been taking Buddy out and about, to help with his training. This is so that we can be sure he'll be happy going wherever his future deaf partner wants to go, and always a well-behaved boy.

So, here he is showing how patient he can be in the local garden centre. Amanda has asked him to 'wait', and look at the focus in his face. All attention on Amanda!

At the local pet store now, and again he's so patient while Amanda checks her phone. Got to make sure she buys plenty of treats for Buddy!

Look how well his burgundy 'I'm learning to be a hearing dog' coat suits him too!

This will be a powerful signal to people, that the person Buddy's with is deaf. It can turn situations around, from people getting angry or impatient, to being much more understanding and helpful. It's also a wonderful talking point, at which Buddy's deaf partner will be able to tell them proudly all about how Buddy helps them.

Back to the portraits now. Look at his face. How could you resist?

Time for a bit of a snooze...

... and we're back to looking magnificent again.

Sometimes however, the best shots aren't quite as dignified.

That's Buddy at his best - looking so keen and attentive, ready for play, being, well, Buddy!

We hope you enjoyed this latest look at Buddy's life. We enjoyed putting it together! And so, until next time, thank you so much once again for sponsoring Buddy.

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
