Charlie is a happy-go-lucky bundle of cuddles
Posted by Brendan Cooper
What’s the cutest, funniest thing Charlie does?
“Charlie pogo jumps like a Jack-in-a-box when he wants attention. Then he remembers he is meant to sit down like a good boy. So he jumps, sits, jumps, sits and jumps again – it's a pretty good exercise routine.”
Hang on though. Perhaps this is cuter and funnier:
“Charlie loves being outside in the garden, especially in the rain. We have to wait for him to stop running around while we get soaked.”
Or how about this?
“Charlie’s favourite place to sleep is with his head resting on your foot.”
This is all according to Tamsin and Tunja, who are the volunteers looking after this ‘cheeky Charlie’. They adore this funny ball of fur. He’s so charming and adorable, and one day, his charm will help a deaf person to leave loneliness behind and embrace life once again.
For now, however, he’s a cute, cuddly, confident Cockapoo, loving life like only a puppy can – while helping keep Tamsin and Tunja entertained.
He runs around and around and around the house, and then runs around and around and around the garden – and then back into the house again. He enjoys watching the dishwasher, and ‘helping’ to empty it (no Charlie you do not get to lick the plates!). And when he’s not napping on your foot, he’s snoozing in his other favourite position: upside down. Of course.
Tamsin thinks he’s ‘a happy confident pup who loves to play and explore new things’. Tunja says he’s ‘an inquisitive bundle of energy who makes time for lots of cuddles.’ We think he’s a scrummy chocolate Charlie, a real superstar in the making – cute, cuddly, friendly and funny!
It’s very early days, but Charlie’s already learning all about the world around him from dishwashers to boxes and even pineapples. He actually loves his training, especially when there are treats involved. And believe us – there are plenty of treats involved whenever a clever puppy gets his training right!
He's also stunning against white...
... brown...
... or black.
He's at the very start of an amazing journey: being trained so that he'll be able to help a deaf person who, right now, might be feeling a bit lost and lonely. We can't wait to see how Charlie's story develops - and we hope you're looking forward to it too!
But for now, from all of us... thank you so very much for sponsoring Charlie!
