So much to do, so little time!

So much to do, so little time for Chrissie!

Bridget, her Volunteer Puppy Trainer, is making sure she has plenty of sights and sounds to get used to.

"Chrissie has been to the classic car festival in Stony Stratford and selected her favourites."

He has good taste! She contrasts nicely with a yellow car (which in turn suits the yellow lines, although we're not sure it should be parked there strictly speaking...)

... and cuts a fine figure next to what is probably an Austin Six (because it says so on the front).

She looks so happy! Dogs do smile, we believe that no matter what people say, and Chrissie is definitely smiling here.

Indeed, Chrissie has been experiencing a lot of transport of late. She's had her first trip on a bus, and look how well she settled.

We want all our clever puppies to be like this on public transport. As assistance dogs, they're allowed into public places and spaces such as libraries, restaurants and so on, because their deaf partners will want to attend these places. Included in this is public transport, so trains, buses, even planes - our dogs need to accompany them, look after them, and just be happy being around them too. As you can see above, Chrissie just takes it in her stride. She's such a superstar.

"I'm a superstar?"

Yes, you Chrissie. You're a superstar!

"Oh, don't, I'm getting shy now..."

As much as Chrissie grows up and learns more about the world and her place in it, we love that she's very puppyish still. Here she is looking very content with 'Ele', her stuffed toy elephant.

If you recall in her last update, she liked going to sleep with Ele in her mouth. It's her 'security elephant'!

That's all for now from Chrissie. She's making great progress: a successful first trip on a bus is definitely a very big step along her training journey, and she's come this far thanks to you! So, once again, thank you for sponsoring Chrissie!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
