Chrissie is a lightning-fast Labrador
Posted by Brendan Cooper
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No – it’s Chrissie, our lightning-fast Labrador!
Chrissie is incredibly quick in mind as well as body.
She’s already learning fast. She’s found that, if she waits for food instead of grumbling, it’ll come sooner. Clever Chrissie! We’re not sure if that’s her heart ruling her head (or her stomach) but it doesn’t matter. She’s a superstar.
Her patience only lasts so far however. When she’s finished dinner, she flips her dish over, puts her front paws on top of it, and pushes it around the kitchen. Did we mention that she’s fast? Well, she does this very quickly, so it looks very funny but it’s loud – and when she does this with her water bowl, it’s also very wet!
She’s also showing how clever she is by undoing laces. Yes, that’s right – even while you’re wearing your shoes, leave it too long, look down, and she’ll have unpicked them without you noticing. As an extra-special treat, she’ll also run off with unattended shoes. But she’s a good girl really, so she’ll bring them back when called.
She’s a lovely little puppy, so cuddly and cute. Her alert and enquiring mind will make her a wonderful hearing dog one day. She will help a deaf person reconnect with life just by being clever, quick, loyal… and just overall an amazing dog.
Chrissie is already exploring the big world around her. She’s already happy out and about, completely unconcerned about cars or noises. She really enjoys wearing her puppy harness, and loves meeting people who want to say hello. She just greets them back! “Hello, I’m Chrissie,” she seems to say. “I’m a clever girl and I’m very pleased to meet you!”
Time for some more photos of lovely Labradorable Chrissie...
... including wonderful shots of this beautiful black puppy against a black background.
So there you have Chrissie! She's at the beginning of an amazing journey, one in which she will eventually help a deaf person to leave loneliness behind and reconnect with life. This will be because you have supported her, so from all of us - thank you for sponsoring Chrissie!
