Super Cooper
Posted by Elizabeth Murphy
Welcome back to The Puppy Pen! It’s time to find out how super Cooper is getting on.
Clever Cooper is doing brilliantly in his training. He is still being guided by Clare, his wonderful volunteer puppy trainer and Darcy, his fabulous dog training instructor.
Clare and Darcy have been gradually introducing Cooper to the world of public transport…
Here is Cooper relaxing on the bus. As you can see, he is very happy to settle nicely and keep himself to himself. Clare and Darcy have also taken Cooper on the Tube and he loved it. This is brilliant training for Cooper. If his future deaf partner wants to travel into a busy town or city using public transport, Cooper will be able to happily accompany them.
It’s all an exciting adventure for Cooper.
Cooper has also been visiting other busy public places. Here he is with big ‘brother’ and best pal Watson at a village charity fair...
Cooper is already doing an incredible job of raising awareness for people with hearing loss. When he is matched with his future deaf partner, he will continue this amazing work every day.
We’re so proud of you Cooper!
One thing Cooper loves more than anything is going on adventurous walks. He particularly enjoys a walk in the woods as there are so many interesting and exciting sights, smells and textures for him to explore.
On one recent walk in the woods, Cooper saw some ponies!
Meeting other animals and wildlife is an important part of Cooper’s training. Learning to behave well and feel comfortable around other animals will help Cooper to stay focused when he is out on walks with his future deaf partner.
After a busy day of learning and exploring, Cooper loves to get comfy and settle down for a well-earned snooze. Do you remember when Cooper was little, and he liked to sleep on his cuddly dog toy?
Well, not a lot has changed…
Cooper might have grown bigger in size, but he is still as cute as he was when he was a tiny puppy!
That’s all for now. We hope you’ve enjoyed hearing about Cooper’s latest adventures. He certainly makes us smile. One day, Cooper is going to change a deaf person’s life and make them smile too.
This would not be possible without your support. So, from everyone at Hearing Dogs, thank you so much for sponsoring Cooper.
