Behind the scenes at an Elvis photoshoot

Posted by Brendan Cooper

When we design your printed updates we employ professional photographers to get the best shots possible. Plenty goes on behind the scenes, and so here's some photos behind the photos!

To start with, here's Elvis looking happy and relaxed. He's always happy and relaxed, but it seems especially so when he knows he's about to get some extra special attention. From the tip of his tongue to the quiff on his head, he's a happy Elvis!

This is how the photographer shows Elvis walking on his lead. It's a case of getting right down to Elvis's eye-level so we really show everything from his viewpoint. Elvis is really good at walking alongside his volunteer puppy socialisers Norman and Joyce.

... keep walking please...!

... aaaaaaand stop!

So, how did we do? Norman, Joyce and the photographer have a chat while Elvis waits with his tongue hanging out.

All good! Well done Elvis! Time for a bit of a stroke. He looks very pleased with himself. What do you suppose he's thinking? Tell us in the comments below!

And that's the end of the photoshoot. Just time for another quick shot of Elvis looking pleased with himself...

... and another one of him having a little sniff. He is still a puppy after all, and likes to have a sniff around.

We hope you enjoyed this mini update. Elvis is so happy and healthy, and it's down to your support as his sponsor. Thank you so much for helping him!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
