Elvis is our confident, adorable, cheeky boy

Thank you for sponsoring Elvis!

A little less conversation and a little more action – that’s Elvis.

Let’s start with some never-before-seen photos of him when he was a really young pup – before he even started living with his volunteer socialisers!

This is him at lunchtime with his brothers and sisters. Elvis is bottom left – with the accent on ‘bottom’.

And after lunchtime, a little snooze – with the accent on ‘little’.

It’s hardly surprising we picked him out as ‘the one’.

When he went to live with his volunteer socialisers Joyce and Norman, he settled himself right in. This could be because he was the biggest in his litter. He’s so intensely inquisitive. Put him on the ground and he’s like a clockwork toy. He just starts walking and off he goes, exploring.

Or, it could just be because he’s fearless by nature. Put it this way: his favourite game is jumping onto the dishwasher door when it’s open. No fear!

Joyce says he’s adorable, and Norman says he’s a cheeky boy. Confident, adorable and cheeky. That’s good enough for us.

We’re thrilled that you’ve chosen to sponsor Elvis. He loves being around other puppies and people, generally having a good time. He really enjoys puppy class, where his confidence means he can learn his ‘sits’ and ‘waits’ in his own time.

He’s also learning about the world. When he’s running around the woods, he will always come back when called. He’s confident, but he’s also loyal, as every Cocker Spaniel should be.

Your sponsorship will help him grow up to be an immensely capable hearing dog. It’s hard to imagine, seeing him as such a cute pup now, and it will be a long journey, but we’re confident that, with your help, Elvis will make it.

Thank you for sponsoring him.

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
