Elvis has a play, then a sleep, then a play again, then another sleep!

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Elvis is doing really well with his soundwork training. We'll tell you more about this in his next printed update, but for now, the Puppy Pen is for seeing your sponsor pup have fun!

And Elvis is having plenty of it! So much so that he needs to have a bit of sleepy-time in between to make up for it.

First, here he is having a ton of fun with the grandson of his volunteer trainers Joyce and Norman. It's a lovely moment, but we're not sure whether he's just been down and is looking up, or is contemplating having a go himself. What we do know is that he looks fantastic in his 'I'm learing to be a hearing dog' jacket. What do you think? Tell us in the comments below.

After so much slide-related entertainment however, Elvis has a bit of a nap with the radio on! Norman tells us that "This is a favourite sleeping spot, on the back door step, on a warm day. We think his preference is easy listening!"

Batteries recharged, it's time to play again."This is one of his many friends at Ampthill Park", says Joyce.

And finally, a bit more sleeping. This was taken on a train up to York. Notice how well he just keeps himself to himself. Elvis is such a good boy!

As you can see, Elvis is starting to look like a proper hearing dog in his jacket. We're hoping it won't be long before he'll get to wear the real thing, and help a deaf person. For now however, thank you so much for sponsoring him!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
