Feather's first weeks

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Welcome to your second Feather Pupdate!

We're very lucky with our Volunteer Puppy Trainers. They give so much of their time, patience and love when bringing up our puppies. Feather's volunteer is called Fiona, and she's something of a superstar volunteer. She's trained plenty of puppies before, so she knows that someone, at sometime, will love to see them growing up.

So, Fiona very kindly took lots of photos of Feather at every stage of her life, from one week onwards! And now we can share them with you.

You've already seen this one in your previous Pupdate, of Feather at one week of age. Awwwwww!

Any guesses why we called her Feather...?

At two weeks she was more aware of her surroundings, which mostly involved other siblings from her litter, plus a big, warm, comfortable mum.

Three weeks, and she's already much more 'puppy shaped'. Also, is it just us, or is Feather already starting to develop a talent for posing for the camera...?

Four weeks, and it's time for focusing on the camera, with Fiona's helping hands.

At five weeks, Feather is tail up and loving life!

Six weeks, and Feather is now a 'proper puppy'. Look at those lovely chest markings! She's growing up to be a very pretty girl, don't you think?

At seven weeks, and she's getting ridiculously pretty, especially against the flowers.

We hope you enjoyed seeing Feather grow up before your very eyes! She's doing really well and we'll tell you all about her life in the next Pupdate. Until then, thank you so very much for sponsoring her.

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
