Fudge and friends

Posted by Elizabeth Murphy

Welcome back to Fudge’s Puppy Pen!

Fudge is a popular pup and has lots of friends!

Socialising and interacting with other dogs is an important part of Fudge’s training. Fudge is likely to meet lots and lots of dogs throughout her career, so it is important that she feels happy and comfortable in their company.

Fudge met another dog called Fudge!

Through gradual reward-based training, Fudge is learning that being in the company of other dogs is lots of fun! Regular interactions with other dogs can also help to develop Fudge’s social skills, as she is learning how to play nicely and to share toys.

Fudge particularly enjoys playdates with her good friend Jasper.

Whether they are playing in the park…

... or having fun in the woods…

... they always have the best time!

Just like humans, friendships are important for dogs! Spending time with a fellow fluffy friend is a great way to boost Fudge’s mood and provide her with a sense of security and comfort.

Dogs are naturally playful and sociable animals, so having fun with other dogs is very important for Fudge's wellbeing. Socialising with other dogs can also provide brilliant mental stimulation. This is especially the case when meeting new dogs for the first time. Fudge has to use her sense of judgement and investigative skills to learn more about the personality of her new friend.

It is not only dogs that Fudge has been making friends with, she also recently said hello to some pigs too!

Well, we did say Fudge was a popular pup!

That’s all for today. We hope you’ve enjoyed catching up with Fudge and seeing how well she is getting on with all her friends. This is all part of Fudge’s training to help her become a confident, friendly and well-rounded dog. We think Fudge is a superstar!

Fudge’s training would not be possible without your amazing support.

So, from everyone at Hearing Dogs, thank you so much for sponsoring Fudge.
