Fudge is sweet! Sweeter than sugar.

She’s sweet in the way she plays with toys. According to Claire, her Volunteer Puppy Trainer: “She has a box full of ‘things’ she collects, so each morning she goes and chooses a ‘thing’, which is then her toy of the day.”

How sweet!

She’s very sweet when she’s sleeping. “She likes to find small corners to snooze in,” Claire tells us. “Her favourite places are in a corner and under a chair, in her fluffy bed, and quite often in her box of ‘things’.”

That’s very sweet, we’re sure you’ll agree. We love it when puppies fall asleep in the ‘wrong’ place, such as a box of ‘things’.

She’s even sweet when she runs off with shoes. As Claire says: “She has a real fondness for shoes, the bigger the better. She looks very funny carrying around a shoe that is almost as big as she is.”

Funny, yes… but sweet with it!

Fudge is at the start of her life as a hearing dog in training, which will end with her helping a deaf person to leave loneliness behind.

She’s already learning about the world, with Claire’s help. “She loves everything – people, places, other dogs. She has a special furry friend already, a local dog called Molly whom she loves to play with. We haven’t met a cat yet, but I’m sure she’ll love one when she does.”

We're so excited that you've joined in with Fudge's training journey.

Thank you for sponsoring her... you're pawsome!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
