George is loving every minute of his training. He is learning how to listen and respond to basic cues and how to be a confident, well-behaved puppy.

Here he is trying on his new “I’m learning to be a hearing dog” jacket…

Looking super smart George!

The burgundy jacket is a brilliant way of letting people know that George is learning to stay focused when out in public. This jacket will be especially important as George starts visiting busy places, such as shopping centres and supermarkets.

George is having so much fun in his training. He almost couldn’t believe his luck at this recent puppy class where he got to run really fast and jump into this ball pit…

As you can see, George is a happy and fearless pup who (literally) jumps into every new experience with a spring in his step and a very waggy tail.

Our fantastic dog trainers always make sure that our hearing dog pups are having lots of fun in their training. Not only does this make it an enjoyable experience for everyone, but it’s also proven to be an effective way for puppies to learn new skills. Through reward-based training, George is learning that new experiences are fun and exciting!

Reward-based training is also all about receiving delicious treats when a puppy does something well. George seems to know where these yummy treats are hidden…
