A day in the life of George
Posted by Elizabeth Murphy
Welcome back to George's Puppy Pen!
Have you ever wondered how George likes to spend his day? If so, today is your lucky day! Let's see what he gets up to.
Good morning George! Here he is looking very excited for a fun day ahead of him...
"I'm ready for my morning zoomies!"
Let's go for a morning walk... or in George's case, a morning run...
What a speedy pup - blink and you'll miss him!
Gorgeous George loves outdoor adventures with Sean, his volunteer puppy trainer.
Daily walks are a brilliant source of physical and mental enrichment. George gets to explore lots of fun sights and smells, whilst also learning to follow Sean's commands and practise his recall.
Oh, and it's also the perfect opportunity to pose for a 'dog on a log' photo...
What a handsome pup!
It's now time for puppy class. You may remember from the last episode that George loves a ball pit. Well, we can report that George still loves a ball pit, possibly even more than last time...
Why does George love the ball pit so much?
Well, ball pits are amazing fun anyway, but trainer Gemma has made them even more fun by involving treats! This is a brilliant enrichment activity where George and Hugh (his Labrador friend), have to sniff out the yummy treats which are hidden at the bottom of the ball pit. Puzzle solving games like this help to keep George happy, entertained and calm throughout the day.
It's now time to go home! Here is George relaxing with his frozen bone...
He certainly looks very pleased with himself and his high-value treat!
George is a very cuddly Cocker Spaniel who adores lots of affection...
"Please may I have some chin scratches?"
Of course you can, George!
One day, George's sweet and cuddly personality is going to make a deaf person very happy indeed.
That's nearly it for now.
We will leave you with a sleepy George, dreaming about all the fun he has had today...
Luckily for George, every day is a fun and exciting day for a hearing dog pup in training!
George's training would not have been possible without your amazing support.
So, from everyone at Hearing Dogs, thank you for sponsoring George!
