Gordon's growing!

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Should we kick off with some training? Let's see what Gordon's learned!

Well done Gordon!

He's clearly learning to become a patient puppy. It's hard for a dog to resist food, and doubly so for a Labrador who, as everyone who's ever known one will tell you, absolutely adores tasty treats! Notice also how Nancy is taking part in bringing him up. She's the daughter of Vicki, who is Gordon's 'official' Volunteer Puppy Trainer, but the whole of her family is helping!

So, you've seen his training. Now, how much has Gordon grown?

To his left is Sally, volunteer Vicki's 14-year-old pet dog. In your previous Pupdate, Gordon was smaller than Sally. Now he's quite a bit bigger! It does tend to happen, puppies growing up, but especially for Labradors. They don't stay little Labs for long.

You could almost say they sprout, which it looks like Gordon has done quite literally judging by those flowers...

Sweet dreams Gordon!

The rest of Gordon's charmed life is taken up with kisses from Vicki's youngest son Humphrey...

... and, would you believe it, snoozes.

He's such a happy little chap, because he's with such a big, loving family. We'll leave you with another lovely shot of Vicki and Humphrey taking him for walkies, with Gordon trotting alongside perfectly.

That's all for now. We'll show you more of Gordon's life and times in your next Pupdate. Until then, thank you for sponsoring him!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
