Gordon: out-takes and about-takes
Posted by Brendan Cooper
One thing we've noticed about Gordon as he's progressed through his training: he's not an easy subject to capture!
Even on his very first photoshoot, he just wouldn't sit still.
It took a bit of gentle coaxing and eventually he got the idea.
However, you can tell, he was just about to run off even then! That little tongue says it all. He's a cheeky boy.
Gordon then grew a bit, and started to get that lovely, sleek, glossy black Labrador coat. So, we thought he'd look great in those classy shots we do against black.
"Is there something interesting down there Gordon?"
"No need to grab it, whatever it is..."
"Is there something interesting up there Gordon?"
"Yes, it's very funny, we know, but please look at the camera Gordon."
"Ooh, so close and yet so far..."
So we tried him against white. Same thing. Still, he looks very happy and that's the main thing!
Older still, and Gordon started to get the idea, although again, his tongue says "I'm about to leg it, so be quick!"
Maybe Nancy had the right idea all along? At last, he's looking at the camera!
She is the daughter of Sally, Gordon's Volunteer Puppy Trainer, whom Gordon adores. It looks like a nice, relaxed grooming session in the garden is exactly what Gordon needs!
Of course, Gordon is a very well-behaved dog today. Ask him to wait, and he'll wait. Ask him to settle, and he'll settle. Ask him for a cuddle, and you'll get a big black Labrador all to yourself!
We hope to have some fab news about Gordon soon. In the meantime, as always, thank you so very much for sponsoring him!
