Cockapoo Grace is a fearless, mischievous little bundle of love

Posted by Brendan Cooper

What do we love most about puppies? Is that they’re cute, or cuddly? Or that they can be bold, or cheeky? Or perhaps it’s that they make us smile with their antics, or impress us with their intelligence?

In Grace’s case, all of the above!

Joanne and Steve are Grace’s Volunteer Puppy Trainers, which means they have the pleasure of bringing her up. “She’s fearless,” says Steve. “She always wants to explore, be involved, and be part of the action.”

Joanne agrees. “She’s up for everything – and a tiny bit mischievous.”

Well, a tiny puppy suits being a tiny bit mischievous! Whether it’s stealing socks or hiding behind the sofa (one of her favourite snoozing spots), she’s so charming and cheeky that she gets away with it.

She’s also very cute! You see, she’s mostly black, but her paws, nose, chest and the tip of her little tail are all white. She almost looks like she’s been dipped in white paint!

What else about her is cute? Back to Joanne: “She has so much fun playing with her toys that she rolls off her mat on the floor – but just keeps on playing!”

See what we mean? Grace is everything we’d want in a puppy.

It’s very early days but Joanne and Steve are already very impressed with this little bundle of love. Back to Joanne: “Grace is doing amazingly with her training. She has already learned her basic cues such as ‘sit’ and ‘wait’, and is confident in herself and the world around her.”

And why’s she learning so quickly? Steve laughs: “The treats are SOOOOO good!”

Thank you so much for supporting Grace. We're at the start of an exciting journey together, one that will end with Grace helping a deaf person to leave loneliness behind, and reconnect with life.

So, from all of us, to you... thank you for sponsoring Grace! You're pawsome!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
