Run, Gwen, Run!

Posted by Brendan Cooper

It's Gwen time again!

We recently noticed that Gwen loves running. She's always very good about it, and comes back when called. She only runs around when it's the right time and place - for example, on the beach, or in a field - and always stays nearby. But when we look back through her photos, we can see that it's something she's always enjoyed, as well as picking up some other adorable habits along the way.

When she was very young, she liked saying hello (as only a cute puppy can) to her lookalike.

Then, as she grew, she became really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really fond of her pet panda.

It went everywhere with her...

... even slept in her comfy doggy-bed...

... but occasionally they had to be separated when panda needed a wash!

Then there was the time Gwen decided she loved the hosepipe.

But really, her ongoing passion seems to be running around, here, there and everywhere.

She has two major 'settings': ears up, and ears down. Here you see the 'ears up' mode...

Here are some examples of 'ears down' mode.

However, she's such a talented little girl. She can even do 'flaps set to normal'.

But sometimes she just lets everything go. Ears, tail, tongue, it's all going on, in that very 'Spaniely' way.

Finally, did we mention beaches and fields...?

As you can see, she can run around excitedly, or run away and back again, but she's always the wonderful, well-behaved and adorable Gwen that we know and love.

We hope you enjoyed this additional Pupdate. Some pups are 'cuddlers'. Others are 'sleepers'. We just wanted to share with you our recent realisation that Gwen is, and apparently has always been, a 'runner'!

Finally, as always, thank you so very much for sponsoring Gwen.

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
