Bridges, rivers, leaves, paths, and mud!

It's Harvey time again!

Remember Alice? You've met her in previous Pupdates. She's the daugher of Celia, Harvey's Volunteer Puppy Trainer.

Harvey and Alice are pretty much inseparable. As you can see below, it looks like Harvey wanted to go to school with her!

Maybe he just wants to look as smart as Alice? Don't worry, he'll look smart enough one day, when he wears his burgundy Hearing Dogs coat with pride, and helps a deaf person to leave loneliness far behind.

He's certainly full of energy. Here he is with Lottie, Celia's own pet Labrador.

Or, should we say, without Lottie?

Leaving Lottie far behind in fact!

Well done Harvey! You managed to put the brakes on!

Put them together and what have you got? A fab montage of Harvey running towards you, all fun and fur!

Right, time for another adventure! This time we're joined by a 'mystery dog', a lovely brown Labrador who is, of course, more than welcome to join in the fun.

Did you say we're going for a walk! And there'll be bridges? And water? And leaves? And paths? And mud? Well what are we waiting for, those are our favourite things! Let's go!

Time to cross Oliver's Bridge. This is named after a local member of The Wendover Society who contributed to the upkeep of the area. And what a lovely area it is for Harvey to explore!

As promised, there are plenty of paths...

... and running rivers...

... and lots of leaves...

... and masses of marvellous MUD!

Alice doesn't look so sure about greeting Harvey when he's covered in mud!

Actually, we know that Alice will have taken him home and given him a lovely warm bath, then lots of cuddles. That's because Harvey is living his best life as a trainee hearing dog, in a loving home, with friends like Alice.

This is all made possible through your support. Your kindness means that one day, Harvey will graduate as a fully-fledged hearing dog, and be partnered with a deaf person who right now might be finding lost and lonely. He will be their furry friend, much like he is with Alice today, except that he will also help them practically, every day, in so many ways. Please remember this: it's your generosity that is making all this possible today, and will make all that possible one day too.

So, until next time, thank you for sponsoring Harvey!

Brendan Cooper

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
