Cute Harvey loves life with Celia

It's time for more Harvey!

Before we go any further, let's just appreciate how cute this little puppy is...

All together now: "AWWWWWWWW!!!!!"

He does seem to like a snuggle. Who are we to deny him?

We're very pleased to report that Harvey is now living with Celia, a Volunteer Puppy Trainer. She's one of our volunteer 'family' without whom we simply could not function. They do all sorts for us, from fundraising to building maintenance, and a big part of what they do is looking after our puppies for the first year of their life. They take them through basic training, and help introduce them to the world in a safe, measured way. Meanwhile, they have a fab time in a loving family home. It works really well, for puppy and volunteer alike.

Over to Celia: "Harvey settled very quickly. It didn't take him long to run round the house and make his mark with his muddy paws on the beds upstairs! He feels like part of the family already.

"We already have a Labrador, called Lottie, and they get on well, though Lottie isn't always as keen as Harvey for a play! As for his habits, well he seems to love smelly socks. Not interested in clean ones at all! He'll pick them up and run off with them, knowing he shouldn't."

So, his little puppy habits are already coming out. Puppies are well known for their love of socks, but it seems Harvey's particular penchant is smelly ones!

One other thing we've noticed about Harvey - apart from being cute, obviously - is that he seems to love his lead. As you can see below, he just likes to writhe around contentedly on the floor and give it a gentle chew.

How cute is that? Very cute!

He seems positively to revel in being in front of the camera! We noticed this at an early age.

And finally, a wonderful shot of Harvey that we took recently, showing him perhaps contemplating his future as a hearing dog, changing a deaf person's life by helping them to leave loneliness behind and reconnect with life.

Still cute, still adorable, but quite poignant and inspiring, don't you think? Let us know below!

That's all for now. Thank you for sponsoring Harvey!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
