Tickle-tums for Hebe

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Guess what? Hebe's still cute!

She's loving life with Annette, her volunteer puppy socialiser. Annette says: "She is a  very friendly little girl who loves people, children and other dogs. If she is ignored, she throws herself onto her back for tickle tums – who can resist that!"

We agree. Here's Hebe doing exactly that. We wouldn't be able to resist. Would you?

Annette has also given Hebe her first 'serious bath'. This was after she played in a recently drained pond. "Not only had she changed colour to black, her new perfume left a lot to be desired", says Annette. We don't have a photo of that. Perhaps that's a good thing.

But Hebe is learning about the world already. Annette often takes her on visits to garden centres, cafes, shops and public events as she is such a good girl. Annette says: "She will do absolutely anything for a titbit!"

Here she is looking like, well, such a good girl.

We'd give her a titbit. We'd also tickle her tum-tum. Wouldn't you? Let us know about it below if so!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
