Hooray for Holly!

Welcome back to Holly’s Puppy Pen!
Holly is having a brilliant time. She is loving investigating the world around her, especially on walks, where there are so many exciting sights, smells and sounds to explore.
Holly recently enjoyed her first short off-lead walk in the park, and you only need to look at Holly’s waggy tail to see how excited she was…
Although Holly was off lead for a short amount of time, she did very well to stay close to Lorna, her volunteer puppy trainer. Holly was not even distracted by the noisy sounds of a helicopter and hedge trimmer in the distance. We are very impressed!
Back home now and it looks like Holly may have got caught in the rain on her walk…
“Oops!”
So, it’s time for a bath!
Whilst Holly enjoys a relaxing massage and wash, she is also licking a delicious treat. This tasty distraction helps Holly to feel relaxed while she is being cleaned and groomed. Through reward-based training, Holly is learning to associate bathtime as a fun and positive experience, where she will receive yummy treats and lots of attention and fuss! It is important that Holly feels comfortable with regular grooming, so that she stays a happy and healthy pup.
“Splish, splash, I was takin’ a bath!”
Bath complete and it is now time for this soggy doggy to dry off…
Cuddles are compulsory
Holly is now clean, dry and as fluffy as ever…
… like a cute and fluffy teddy bear!
We hope you have enjoyed catching up with adorable Holly, who is loving discovering all about the world around her. Holly has a very exciting journey ahead of her.
We are so grateful for your amazing support in Holly’s hearing dog training.
From everyone at Hearing Dogs, thank you so much for sponsoring Holly.
