Previously unseen photos of Hope
Posted by Brendan Cooper
We should have some exciting news (and Hope’s final update) for you soon. How exciting!
In the meantime we thought you’d like to see some unseen photos from Hope’s photoshoot at just eight weeks old. Awwwwww!
This is the photoshoot that we do when we're first showing puppies to prospective sponsors on our website. It's really important because we want to show how appealing the puppy is - and let's face it, with a cute little soul like Hope, that wasn't difficult.
She very quickly showed us her fun, active side.
And even gave us an early candidate for Tongue Out Tuesday.
In the shoot, we like to put our pups into a Hearing Dogs burgundy coat because this shows how small and cuddly they are.
This also shows what they'll be growing into - amazing hearing dogs that will one day change the life of a deaf person.
Hope was very good, and let us take photos of her. But then she wriggled...
... and wriggled a bit more...
... then she decided she'd like to stand up...
... and go and find something more interesting to do!
Coat going...
... going...
... gone!
Ah well, we really did try our best, but puppies will be puppies.
We also like to show how cuddly our puppies are. The good news: Hope was very cuddly indeed.
Look at her plump little puppy tummy! Lots of potential for tummy tickles there.
And an affectionate little kiss becomes another candidate for Tongue Out Tuesday.
What a lovely puppy. She was very affectionate from an early age, and this never stopped.
As well as outdoors shots, we take photos indoors too. This is no less exciting and stimulating for the puppy however.
The challenge is to get the puppy to look at the camera. And what a challenge! Cue lots of strange noises, clicking of fingers and waving of toys behind the camera.
We did manage to get some of Hope looking at the camera in the end, but not until she'd finished watching something behind her (no, there was nothing there...)
... or on the floor (nothing there either).
At the end of the day, the most important thing is to show how very, very cute our puppies are. As we said, this was easy with Hope because she basically looked like a teddy bear.
She even did a very cute thing in the garden, peeking up her little head...
... hauling herself up...
... then saying "Here I am!"
She didn't actually say that, of course. Our hearing dogs aren't clever enough to talk (yet).
We hope you enjoyed these previously unseen photos. Looking back, it's incredible to think how far she's come - and, as we said in the introduction, we're expecting to share some great news soon.
Until then however, as always, from all of us at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, and from Hope... thank you for sponsoring her! You're pawsome!
