It's Ivy time!

Welcome back to the Puppy Pen! It’s Ivy time!
Ivy is still smiling and loving life. Look how happy and proud she is in her “I’m learning to be a hearing dog” jacket…
You’ll remember from the last episode that Ivy had just started practising visiting public places. This part of Ivy’s training has been going really well, so volunteer puppy trainer Guy has been slowly introducing Ivy to slightly busier places… and Ivy has taken it all in her stride!
On one recent visit to the supermarket, Ivy was the perfect shopping helper…
… she did a perfect settle and waited patiently while Guy picked up some vegetables…
“Are those yummy carrots for me?”
We can confirm that Ivy received some delicious treats for how brilliantly she behaved at the supermarket!
Through reward-based training, Ivy will receive lots of praise and treats every time she visits new places, so she will start to associate it as a positive and fun experience. Ivy is likely to accompany her future deaf partner to the supermarket on a regular basis, so it is important that she feels comfortable in this environment. Ivy did a superb job!
In other news, Ivy has been spending time with her best friend Isla…
These lovely Labradors love sharing their favourite toy…
… but their favourite toy can change at any moment…
What a sweet pair of pups!
Talking of sweet, we think Ivy has found her comfy spot…
Adorable Ivy looks like she is having very happy dreams indeed!
That is all for now! We hope you’ve enjoyed catching up with the very clever and beautiful Ivy.
Ivy is continuing to impress us every day with how well she is doing in her training… we are sure that you’re very proud of her too!
Your generous support is going to help a deaf person to leave loneliness behind and reconnect with life.
So, from everyone at Hearing Dogs, thank you so much for sponsoring Ivy.
