Jade according to Karen

Posted by Brendan Cooper

As we told you in your previous Pupdate, Jade is now happily living with Margery, her new volunteer puppy socialiser. Her daughter Karen also pops by from time to time and supplies us with photos!

"Jade is a lovely and special dog and no amount of attention or affection is too much for her," Karen tells us. "She loves being with people and getting plenty of fuss and attention. She has plenty of toys which she likes to play with. She still loves her 'find it' games with both the toys and treats."

One of her toys is a ball. As you can see below, Jade loves her ball! We decided to put this on a rotating animation. So, Jade gets the ball; Jade puts the ball down; Jade chases the ball; Jade catches the ball - and repeat!

There's one odd frame out in the animation above. Did you spot it? We'll tell you about it later...

Back to Karen: "Jade's recall on walks is excellent and she now has plenty of doggy friends to greet each day. She's doing so well because my mum has been socialising hearing dog puppies and grown up ones too for many , many years."

What else does Jade like? "She loves long walks which mum takes her on once if not twice a day. She enjoys chasing and playing with lots of her doggy friends which she sees on the field but especially enjoys all the different scents through the woods."

She also loves... plant pots!

This is the 'odd frame out' above. The plant pot starts outside, in the garden...

... but often ends up inside the house!

As you can see in the top right corner of that photo, Jade has plenty more toys to play with. So why does she enjoy the plant pot so much? Because she's a dog with her own mind and she'll play with whatever she wants to play with, of course!

So, as you can see, Jade is still having a great life and Margery is helping her along her training journey. We hope you enjoyed this Pupdate. Until next time, thank you so much for sponsoring her.

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
