Jade gets cuter every day

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Most pups start off cute, and grow up to become handsome or beautiful.

Jade's still cute! And getting cuter somehow!

See what we mean...?

She's growing up, but still looks very 'puppy-like'.

She's living with Sandra and Mike, who are volunteer puppy socialisers. They look after Jade during her first year, and it seems they're enjoying it too.

A pup's first night in a strange place can be a bit difficult for everyone involved, but not with Jade! "The first night Jade spent here we moved around ever so silently so as not to disturb her and kept listening out for her during the night.", says Mike. "The next morning when I came down she lifted one eyelid, wagged her tail and went back to sleep. We have never heard her during the night but she is a lot more demanding in the morning!"

Hmmmm. Demanding. Well, we did say she was all forward and no reverse!

Sandra continues: "Jade has not settled in: she has taken over. Meal times are moved to fit around her and her walks and she is very quick to tell you that she wants to go for a walk."

Taken over ! We also said she's not backward in coming forward!

"Like most puppies Jade enjoys her little toys but her favourite is the one that she has at that moment in time and if you were to show her a new one, she becomes quite excited."

Cue cute pictures of a cute pup with her toys:

Mike concludes: "She is a confident young lady who seems to love exploring and sticking her nose in, can hear her food box being opened or her tennis ball being thrown at one hundred yards, who is adorable and knows it. She is still 100 miles per hour Jade and then flops for her tummy rub whist trying to nibble your slipper."

Tummy rubs! Slipper nibbling! It's all so very cute.

So to wrap up, here's another photo generously supplied by Sandra and Mike:

Cute!

Jade's doing really well and loving life. We'll tell you more soon, but in the meantime, thank you again for sponsoring her!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
