Josie the explorer
Posted by Brendan Cooper
Josie has become something of an explorer it would seem.
She loves the beach, especially when she finds something of interest that makes her go all silly and puppylike!
That's right, it's Josie time again!
She's growing up, and although she can still be all legs and ears like a pup, she's definitely also growing in confidence. This is because her volunteers have made sure that, as government restrictions have relaxed, she gets out and learns more about the world.
In Josie's case, this really means getting out!
Here she is, out in the wilderness, looking especially dramatic and windswept.
Not a problem for Josie. She's equally happy hidden away in the long grass.
Josie has also discovered a fascination for water in all its forms. As well as the sea, she likes languid lakes...
... bounds over bubbling brooks...
... stands by silent streams...
... but isn't quite so sure about raging torrents.
Actually, it does look like Josie drew a line at raging torrents, doesn't it? It's hardly surprising. Those torrents do look quite raging, and cold. So, it's a bit of a helping hand for Josie who, in turn, waves back to tell us "I'm OK!"
Josie is more than OK because of the time and effort our volunteers put into raising her. As with all our puppies, and all our volunteers, we simply could not exist without them. Everything Josie does, whether 'actual' training or being an intrepid explorer, goes towards turning her into a fully rounded character, not just able to cope with whatever life throws at her, but to actively enjoy new experiences. So, whether navigating a busy pavement, avoiding feet in a supermarket, settling under a table or having a whale of a time in the great British countryside, Josie is confident and happy. It's a great life!
And here she is, really OK. As in, very snuggly and wuggly, all wrapped up after a fun day out, and very, very OK.
What was that Josie? You're very cute...? Yes, we know!
How could anyone resist those eyes? It's not just the legs that are all puppy-like sometimes.
As you can see, Josie is loving life, and turning into a fabulous dog. One day she'll change the life of a deaf person, and this will be thanks to your kindness. Until then, she's moving along her training journey because of your support. So again, until the next Pupdate, thank you for sponsoring Josie!
