Juno loves the snow

Posted by Brendan Cooper

We're out of winter now - just, we hope, fingers crossed - but that doesn't mean we can't show Juno having lots of fun in the snow! We had quite a lot in Buckinghamshire so it would be a pity not to show at least one photo of a dog in some of the fluffy white stuff.

"She definitely enjoyed the snow", says Tamsin, her volunteer puppy socialser. "We caught her dancing around on her back legs trying catch snowflakes!"

You can always tell when a dog is enjoying itself, and we think it's safe to say that Juno enjoyed herself! The only problem seems to be that the snow is collecting on her fur. As Tunja (Tamsin's mum who also helps raise Juno) says, "It's a good job she doesn't mind the hair-drier because she soaks up water like a sponge!"

Here's another way to help her stop soaking up water in the first place...

We're not sure who the finger belongs to, in the left of the photo, but it seems to be having the desired effect. It looks like Juno is doing a brilliant 'wait', just calmly, patiently waiting until she's all trimmed and sleek.

Fortunately, even though she is now 'tuftless', she's still incredibly cute! In the photo below, it's fair to say that she also knows it. There is more than a hint of a pose...

Juno's doing really well with her obedience training, thanks to the hard work of Tamsin, Tunja, and our puppy training instructor Kim. She's going on a train journey soon, as part of her Puppy Star awards. Juno has already shown how well she can settle on a bus. Here she is looking ever so well-behaved, with some help from Tunja promising a treat, while a fellow passenger looks on with fascination at this super little dog!

Juno is a super little dog thanks to your support. We're working hard on her next full puppy update, so that should be on its way to you soon. In the meantime thank you for sponsoring her!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
