Juno starts living with Tamsin, Tunja and Colin!

Juno is now living with volunteer socialisers! These are lovely people who look after our sponsor pups in their first year of life, making sure they grow up to be happy, healthy puppies, ready to start their training journey to change deaf people's lives.

Juno's volunteer socialisers are Tamsin and her parents Tunja and Colin: "It's a great way to meet people", Tamsin says. "Sometimes we joke that our hearing puppies have more social engagements than us - with classes, dog club and play dates."

We certainly couldn't do our jobs without our volunteers. They do such a great job of helping our pups along the way.

Here are some photos Tamsin shared with us. First up, did we mention that Juno is part teddy bear? As you can see below, this is quite an apt description! It's hard to tell where the soft toy ends and the puppy begins! Tamsin explains: "This is her favourite place to sleep, cuddled up with her big soft toy dog."

Juno is Tamsin's second puppy that she has socialised for Hearing Dogs. She also socialised Greta, a beautiful black Spaniel. Tamsin explains:"This is Juno on her first day with us, being shown around by Greta."

What a lovely photo! This is another really positive aspect of socialising, when our volunteers have more than one dog at the same time. They often bond, and still recognise each other if they meet up later in life. "Her and Greta are great friends", says Tamsin. "They play constantly, we have to split them up at nap time or they would never sleep. Greta is quite a pushover and lets Juno win all their games, steal her toys and chew on her ears."

The photo above also captures Juno's 'tufts' extremely well. We love her tufts!

Talking about friends, this is Juno saying hello to Florence, Tamsin's sister's one-year-old. Looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

Tamsin describes what's going on below: "This is the first time she was allowed out the grass after her vaccination. Her and Greta spent 10 minutes playing chase and then decided it was definitely time for a nap!"

Chasing and napping. It's not such a bad life is it?

So that's Juno! "An adorable bouncy bundle of fluff", according to Tamsin. We agree!

We hope you've enjoyed reading about this adorable bouncy bundle of fluff. Until your next update, thank you so much for sponsoring Juno!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
