Woodland, playtime and sleepy time with Juno

Posted by Brendan Cooper

When our wonderful volunteer puppy socialisers bring up our dogs and help train them, they make sure everyone has a great time!

Whenever they can, everyone gets out and about to enjoy the great outdoors. This doesn't happen every day, of course, because the great British weather sometimes makes it difficult (we had snow last month and baking heat last week!), but when they can, they do.

In your last pupdate we showed you Juno enjoying the snow. Well, how about Juno enjoying the sun? This is surely the best way to keep cool, whether you're human (Tamsin's niece, below) or canine...!

Below is Tunja, who shares puppy socialising duties with her daughter Tamsin, and who you might recognise from your main sponsor updates. She and Juno recently had a training session at Rushmere Country Park, a beautiful location very popular with dog-walkers and, well, everyone and anyone who enjoys being outside!

It looks to us like Juno is waiting patiently for Tunja to produce a treat. What do you think? Tell us in the comments!

They weren't alone. Tunja explains: "We went out with another puppy called Odin. They love being together and are great pals. Juno even managed to find a child in the middle of a bush while she was exploring so she did very well!"

As well as discovering children in bushes, Juno also enjoyed sitting on some art in the sculpture trail at Rushmere.

Finally, after a day of so much activity, she had a nap (most of our pupdates seem to end with a pooped pooch!)

Tunja laughs: "She twitches her toes like she's running and sometimes 'talks' in her sleep."

That's all for now. Your next sponsor update is being prepared so it should arrive soon. Until then, thank you once again for sponsoring Juno!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
