Meet Kallie, our loving, cuddly girl

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Kallie was the first born in a litter of eleven (yes, we said eleven!), with six brothers and four sisters, a glorious mix of black and yellow puppies.

You could tell which was Kallie because she was the only one that liked sleeping flat out on her back, paws in the air, snoring loudly between dreams!

Now that she’s grown up a bit, her personality is shining through. Kallie is always at the centre of any fun and games, but she also loves her one-to-one cuddle time.

Being so cute, she gets plenty of that, and this is why we call her our loving, cuddly girl.

It’s early days for Kallie but we’re already seeing that she’s a confident, patient girl.

She’ll stop and consider rather than rushing in. This is great: patience for a hearing dog pup is most definitely a virtue.

And then... more fun!

She's still very young but we think Kallie will make an amazing hearing dog. This is thanks to you, her sponsor, for helping her.

So, on behalf of all of us at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People... thank you.

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
