Sisters, sculling, snoozing - and stardom!

Time for more Leo!
He's been up to plenty recently. He's being looked after by Angela, another of our amazing volunteers, while he's going through his soundwork training. This is when he starts being taught how to alert people to sounds like the fire alarm, and it's a very exciting time for everyone, Leo included! We'll tell you all about that in your next training update. For now, let's see what he's been up to!
"We took Leo to Henley Regatta," Angela tells us. "He enjoyed watching the boats on the river and had a little paddle himself which he loves."
Here's Leo contemplating having a little paddle...
Or judging by the colour of those ears, perhaps he's just had one? Leo does enjoy a splish-splosh, as we've already shown you.
Back to Angela: "He enjoys walks in the local woods chasing squirrels, and meeting with lots of other friendly dogs along the way. He is very sociable and loves meeting people and dogs alike. He also loves watching the ducks, and enjoying the view. A favourite pastime of his is to sit and watch the birds and he occasionally tries to chase a pigeon or two."
We don't want you think we just share photos of the back of Leo's head. Here's the front. We're sure you'll agree, it looks like a happy front of the head!
We've used that photo previously in our Tongue Out Tuesday series. Wonder why...?
We mentioned sisters, and here's Leo with one of his (we're not sure which one because, as we've shown before, he has lots)! Our puppies meet up with each other quite often at our training centres, and when they do there's always a lot of fun to be had, whether chasing each other around or playing rough-and-tumble on the floor.
And now, a bit calmer, with mum!
This time we know which is which - the top one is Leo's mum Hebe, who was also a sponsor puppy. Hebe was something of a 'wonder dog', with exactly the traits we look for in hearing dog mums. So, instead of helping just one deaf person, her offspring are helping lots of them.
Now for something a bit special: Leo is a TV star! Or, to be precise, an HDTV star (Hearing Dogs TV). He and another sponsor dog Kai are the focus of HDTV Series 3, so take a look if you want to see even more of Leo.
Let's give Angela the last word: "In one phrase I'd say he's cheeky friendly and very chilled out. Everyone loves him!"
That all sounds pretty good to us. We're so happy that Leo's happy! We hope you are too. From all of us, once again, thank you for sponsoring Leo!
