Libby immerses herself in her subjects

So what's Libby been up to?
Better question would be: what hasn't Libby been up to?
According to Mary: "Pets at Home (looking at all the animals), boarding trains, visiting the National Trust at Stowe, and attending services in our church with other dogs, a cat, a budgerigar in a cage and a hamster!"
We're trying to get a photo of that service. We'll let you know if we manage to get one. We don't think we've ever seen a church service attended by dogs, a cat, a budgerigar and a hamster. If you have, let us know below.
One thing we do know is that Libby gets on well with cats. Mary explains: "When she was doing her 'cat training' to get used to being around them, Libby wanted to go up to the cat sitting on the windowsill but was a little unsure. Later it was found that the cat was sitting on a piece of ham and that was what Libby wanted, not to greet the cat at all!"
What a funny story...
Back to Mary: "We've also visited a local garden centre to check out the astroturf animals."
Did she say astroturf animals?
She surely did!
We're glad we got a photo of that. If it's hard to imagine a church service attended by dogs, a cat, a budgerigar and a hamster, it's even harder to imagine an astoturf animal. If you've ever wondered what one looks like, know you now.
We now have a series of photos of Libby 'in things'. If you're not sure what we mean, just take a look below.
Here's Libby in snow to cool down...
... in a paddling pool...
... in some mud (again)...
... and in a field, with a fluffy friend...
... in another field surrounded by snowdrops, having a bit of a think...
... and in another grassy field looking happy...
... and in some more flowers looking positively ecstatic!
You could say Libby gets immersed in her subjects. Flowers definitely suit her. Mary tells us: "Libby has made my garden and flower beds into a golf course with a lot more than 18 holes. She just loves to dig new holes."
Still, she's allowed to be mischievous. Mary sums her up: "She is very friendly to all who she meets. She has done some fundraising collections with us and is a hit with the public and she is very good and lets them stroke her."
What a lovely Libby. You sponsored her, and she's doing really well. Thank you from all of us at Hearing Dogs!
