Life with Libby
Posted by Brendan Cooper
Libby is at the beginning of an exciting journey learning to become a hearing dog!
Her trainer Nicola took this photo of her, which we think is quite symbolic! There will be hurdles and barriers, which might look big to a little puppy, but as you can see she looks determined, and she's ready to take on the challenges.
She will, of course, receive plenty of help along the way. Here's Nicola, her puppy training instructor:
According to Nicola, "Libby is confident, playful, responsive and starting to chew less now her baby teeth are starting to come out!"
Here's the other important person in her life: Jenny, her volunteer puppy socialiser:
Jenny adores Libby! She tells us: "Libby is lively, cheeky, playful, either full on or full off. She is funny to watch when she has finished her food because she will pick up her bowl and carry it around making as much noise as she can with it! She also quite likes toes. She's adored by everyone and loves cuddles when she can keep still long enough!"
Are these some of the toes Jenny mentions? If so, they do look quite appealing don't they? Tell us what you think below! Maybe she'll stop being obsessed with toes when she loses her baby teeth, if just for a short while...
We don't teach our puppies to use information technology, but it looks like Libby might have some natural aptitude - or at least, interest. It isn't quite the same thing, admittedly.
And finally here's a really lovely photo Jenny took of Libby looking every inch the super sponsor pup!
We're so pleased that you've sponsored Libby. She's doing really well, and it's all thanks to your sponsorship. From all of us at Hearing Dogs... thank you!
