Lily is loving life

Hello and welcome back to Lily’s Puppy Pen!

Lovely Lily is doing super well in her training and is working hard on how to behave and settle nicely in busy public places. It looks like Lily has perfected this skill…

This is what we call settling. It means that Lily is perfectly happy to lie down in a café or restaurant and not get distracted by different sounds and sights happening around her. As you can see, Lily looks very relaxed watching the world go by.

What a superstar!

As well as training, Lily has also been getting involved in some extra-curricular activities… and it appears that Lily enjoys a spot of gardening...

Lily’s talents just seem to keep growing!

Helping in the garden is very fun but it also makes for a sleepy Lily… so it’s time for a well-deserved nap…

After a fantastic snooze, Lily is ready for another fun adventure, so it’s time to go for a walk!

Lily is a fun-loving cocker spaniel, and it is in her nature to enjoy the outdoors and zooming around. It is lovely to see Lily having so much fun exploring all the different smells and sights of a walk in the woods.

As Lily is so well trained, she has perfect recall. This means that when her future deaf partner is taking Lily for a walk, they should be confident that when they call her by her name, or blow a whistle, she will come running back to them immediately.

This is amazing because Lily's fantastic recall will help her future deaf partner to feel less isolated and vulnerable when out in public. This will also help them to feel more connected with Lily and the world around them.

And of course, there’s always time to stop for a quick sunset photo…

Back home now and it’s time for some evening snuggles.

As we know, Lily is a super soft cuddly pup who really enjoys having lots of affection from her volunteer puppy training family…

... and everyone enjoys Lily’s cuddles too...

It’s a cuddle sandwich!
