Labradorable Lola is a playful puppy pal

Welcome to your Puppy Pen! And thank you for sponsoring Lola!
Lovely Lola is Labradorable!
She’s very friendly and fun-loving, and plays with every dog and person she meets, large or small.
“She really enjoys the company of our old dog Oscar,” says Claire, who is Lola’s Volunteer Puppy Trainer. “She sometimes pinches his bed when he’s not looking. She also likes to get both paws into his dog bowl once he has finished eating, just to check that there is nothing left for her!”
Cheeky girl! What about other puppies?
“She’s great friends with Cocker Spaniel Alvin, another trainee hearing dog puppy. They love chasing each other around at puppy class.”
Awwwwwww. And what about people?
“She becomes very playful when she sees our daughter Molly. We call her ‘Fun Time Molly’ when they’re together, because we’re sure that’s how Lola thinks of her.”
So, as well as Labradorable, she’s quite cheeky and, it seems, full of confidence with it.
“She wasted no time exploring the garden and house when she moved in. She particularly likes the garden, and every time she goes out she has to walk through her play tunnel, even if it’s quicker to go round it!”
Well, who are we to question what goes on in a puppy’s mind? Maybe it’s more about the journey than the destination?
“Then, after running around in the garden, she falls asleep on my husband’s practice golf mat.”
Again, that’s Lola’s business. She’s clearly a little girl with her own mind – and we love her for it. One day this confident, cheeky, playful soul will set her strong mind to helping a deaf person leave loneliness behind.
As everyone knows, Labs love their food, and Lola is no exception. Claire gives Lola a treat whenever she’s training, so that she thinks life’s a game, one in which she gets tasty rewards for ‘winning’. “She is doing really well,” says Claire proudly. “She’s very intelligent, and happy in every situation.”
One day, Lola will change a deaf person's life forever. Today however, from all of us... thank you so much for sponsoring her.
