More of Luca's life and times
Posted by Brendan Cooper
Before we continue, let's admire how handsome Luca has become!
He knows he's being admired. He's showing us his best side there.
Luca has also developed an amazing set of paws! They're brown, fluffy, and massive. Come on Luca, shows us your paws!
He's a two-tone puppy!
That's enough from us, let's find out what Louise, his Volunteer Puppy Trainer, has to say about the rest of the photos she's shared with us.
"This photo is Luca with our daughter, Amelie, who is 10. He always sits on her lap. I even have pictures of him at the park sat on her!"
"He also likes lying on my legs having tummy rubs. He sits on my lap and stretches right back."
That looks lovely! If only we could all stretch out on nice warm legs and have our tummies tickled!
Back to Louise: "The photo below shows Luca running around with a new friend, called Bear. Their birthdays are just two days apart!"
As you can see, Luca's paws are doing the business there, very sturdy and sure.
"These are at one of Luca's favourite fields near Hazlemere."
Hmm, what makes a field a puppy's particular favourite? Is it the smells? The wide open space? Maybe lots of nooks and crannies to expore? Perhaps we'll never know.
Back to Louise again: "Next is bathtime. I'm not sure which Luca prefers, the bath or the post-bath wrapped in a lovely warm towel!"
It's good that Luca enjoys bathtime. This is a necessary part of looking after a furry friend, and one that his eventual deaf partner will need to be able to do, without too much bother. It looks like baths won't be a problem in future!
And Louise's final words on the last photo she shared with us: "He sometimes gets so utterly filthy and crusty that a nice warm bath or shower and lunch sets him up for a lovely long nap..."
Cue a photo of a napping Luca!
A lot of our Pupdates end this way - with a happy puppy, having expended lots of energy in another fun-packed day, recharging the batteries for more happy times ahead.
Luca is loving life with Louise and her family, as you can see. With your support, he's growing up to be a fine figure of a hearing dog. Thank you for sponsoring Luca!
