Luna: the smiling Queen of Sheba
Posted by Brendan Cooper
We were recently going through some of Luna's photos, and realised there are some distinct themes.
She looks great in burgundy; she loved being around her pal Josie; she smiles a lot; she can look spectacular; and she does a fantastic Queen of Sheba impersonation.
First, burgundy. It suits her, whether it's an 'I'm learning to be a hearing dog' coat in the supermarket...
... or patiently taking the bus...
... or carefully navigating the stairs with those big gangly Labrador legs...
... or even a natty necktie. She looks very dignified here, don't you think?
When she was a puppy, Luna also adored her pal Josie, who was the pet of Debbie, one of her early Volunteer Puppy Trainers.
They were like bookends! That is, if some of your books are much larger than others.
They always seemed to be on the same side, with Josie playing Ant, and Luna being Dec.
Luna often got the upper hand though, when finding the extremely comfortable bed was concerned. Josie was happy to oblige however.
We mentioned smiling. We're not sure whether this was an early smile, or a yawn.
As she grew up though, it seems she might have learned how to smile from Josie.
And just kept going!
She was especially happy when she got covered in mud (as every puppy should, of course...)
And we think this is possibly the greatest shot of a happy dog that we've ever seen. It's so full of life and joy!
Imagine waking up to that every day.
As well as looking happy, Luna can look magnificent when she wants to.
As well as very beautiful...
... and even quite dramatic!
Do you suppose she's contemplating her bright future here?
Finally, we mentioned the Queen of Sheba.
What do you think?
She's a dead ringer!
Luna is such a lovely soul. Everyone adores her. We really enjoyed putting this Pupdate together, and we hope you enjoyed reading it.
Thank you again for sponsoring Luna. You're pawsome!
