Maggie and Marnie are a winning team

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Marnie and Maggie continue to make a great team!

In your previous Pupdate we showed them out and about together in the Great British Dog Walk. Maggie is still taking Marnie to events, on public transport, and to public places such as cafes, all to help her become acquainted with the world. Our dogs are really well behaved, and it's because our volunteer puppy socialisers work with our trainers to give them such a great start in life.

As you can see below, Marnie gets a lot out of these events too!

Maggie tells us about that photo: "We took her to the Little Marlow village fĂȘte - and she won best in show!"

She looks very proud, don't you think? You can even see her eyes. This is very unusual for Marnie because she often has tufts that hide them.

Here's another photo where Marnie's eyes are on display!

Dogs definitely smile, and Marnie is definitely smiling there. What a happy little dog! Back to Maggie: "Marnie comes everywhere with me now in her coat, including church, retirement homes, shops and restaurants." As you can see, she's just happy to be with Maggie anywhere and everywhere.

She continues: "Wherever we go, everyone makes a fuss of her because she is so cute."

Well, quite...

How cute is that?

And finally, the obligatory shot of a cute sponsor puppy snoozing in a funny position...

We could build a library of photos like that. Our pooped pooches know how to amuse us! It's testament to the wonderful life they lead with their volunteer puppy socialisers. They're so active, and so fit and healthy, that they divide their time between going out, training, having fun, and snoozes. They're also so secure in their happy home, that they feel they can just drop off anytime, any place. It's how to bring up a well-behaved, well-balanced, secure, confident, happy dog.

Marnie's come a long way already. She's just starting to learn about how to alert people to sounds, which we'll tell you about - and show you - in your next full update. Until then, thank you so much for sponsoring Marnie!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
