Little Molly and the Big Gruffalo

Posted by Brendan Cooper

There's a Gruffalo in Wendover Woods!

Molly's volunteer puppy socialiser Carolynne took Molly for a bracing walk over Christmas. "Molly is so small people often think she is a puppy and she attracts lots of attention as she is so cute", says Carolynne. "However she may be small but she isn't scared of Gruffalos! She is actually practising her sit and wait in the photos which she is excellent at - the Gruffalo certainly looks impressed."

You might notice the fog - Molly doesn't mind the cold and loves running round a frosty field but she hates going out in the rain.

But it wasn't all outdoors. Sometimes Christmas is about lounging around in front of the tell (especially if it's raining), so here's one small puppy regarding another puppy on TV.

There was also plenty of time to become acquainted with the fire. Carolynne explains: "The first time we lit the fire she was very unsure and kept barking at it but she now adores lying as close as possible to it - all part of her learning about different aspects of everyday life."

Carolynne is absolutely right. We want our pups to have a broad, stimulating life for their first year, as well as learning the basics before their advanced soundwork. It looks like Molly is getting exactly that.

And finally, Molly playing with one of her Christmas presents...

... which it looks like she thoroughly enjoyed!

That's all for now, from Carolynne and Molly. We'll send you another update soon! Thank you for sponsoring her, as ever!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
