Happy Birthday to Ned!
Posted by Brendan Cooper
Ned turned one year of age recently! Yes, we know, hard to believe isn't it? He was such a little ball of fluff when he first became a sponsor pup. We called him our 'friendly little chap', but even then we thought he might become a 'friendly big chap'. It's certainly looking that way.
Anyway, he had a lovely day with his volunteer puppy socialisers, Peter and Sylvia. They bought him birthday cards, including one with his name on it, as you can see below (the card in the middle)!
But the pride of place went to this purple toy ball - which was sent in by one of his sponsors! We forwarded it on to Peter and Sylvia, who presented Ned with it on the day. You can see him with the toy below, and you can also see how well he 'waits' while they take the shot. All our amazing hearing dogs are great at waiting. It's called impulse control, and it's how they learn to be patient.
We of course forwarded these photos to the very kind sponsor, who we hope liked them. We love this kind of story, where sponsors actually become part of it and make it 'real'.
So, if you want to send Ned another birthday pressie - or any of our pups for that matter - then please feel free! And we'd also love for you to tell us what you think about Ned, or indeed ask any questions, in the comments section below.
But for now, once again, thank you for sponsoring Ned, our birthday boy!
