Ned is our ‘friendly little chap’

Posted by Brendan Cooper

Ned is a bold black Labrador puppy, confident in his surroundings and comfortable with people.

If we were to sum up Ned in one phrase it would be ‘a friendly little chap’. He likes to wander around and say hello to everyone he meets, whether puppy or person. When he meets people, he loves following them. If you put him on the floor, walk away, and turn around, he’ll be right there behind you, looking up at you with his ‘take me home’ eyes.

Ned was the first in his litter to retrieve scrunched-up balls of paper. It was so cute, but it also told us he had a certain special ‘spark’ to his character. He still does this today, with toys. Give Ned a toy, and he’ll bring it right back to you. Then, more often than not, he’ll want a cuddle. Well, he is a puppy after all!

Ned takes the approach of ‘This is the world and here I am.’ And we love him for it.

His outgoing nature means he’s really enjoying his puppy class. He’s big and strong, both in character and body, but he plays gently with the smaller pups. You could say he’s shaping up to be a friendly big chap!

Why not post a comment below and say hello to Ned? Or even ask his trainer how he’s coming along?

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
