Playtime with Noah

Posted by Elizabeth Murphy

Welcome back to Noah’s Puppy Pen!

An important part of Noah’s hearing dog training is making sure that he is having lots of fun whilst he is learning about the world around him. Learning through play makes training very enjoyable and helps to build Noah’s confidence in a fun and exciting way.

Noah was fascinated by this ball pit…although he wasn’t entirely sure what to do with it at first…

“Ooo this looks fun…”

“…in we go!”

“Um… now what?”

Noah soon figured out that ball pits are amazing...

Our hearing dog trainers often hide treats at the bottom of a ball pit, so that our pups can use their clever sense of smell to find the treats. It sounds like Noah has lots of ball pit fun to look forward to!

Noah also adores playing with his toys. Here he is demonstrating his brilliant ball skills...

… and he has even learnt how to hold his cuddly monkey up with his paws…

What a talented pup he is!

Playtime is a great source of mental enrichment for Noah, as it helps to keep him relaxed and happy throughout the day. Regular playtime also encourages Noah to build his confidence around new experiences which will help him as he moves through his hearing dog training.

So, it’s all going well for beautiful Noah!

We will continue to follow Noah in his training journey as he grows and learns the skills he will need to become a fantastic hearing dog. For now, Noah is enjoying being a playful, inquisitive and happy little puppy.

Until next time, from everyone at Hearing Dogs, thank you for sponsoring Noah.
