Robyn looks magnificent

Time for more Robyn!

Let's kick this one off with a big 'Congratulations!'

That's right - Robyn passed her Puppy Four Star, which we told you she was working towards in your last training update. Well done Robyn!

Yes, that's your name on it Robyn, no need to double-check.

She may be all grown up and magnificent, but she's still a puppy at heart.

She loves her toys...

... and tummy tickles!

Who doesn't?

Actually we really like it when our dogs retain their puppy charm. It's what will help cheer up a deaf person's day, every day - their loyalty and love, their fun and games. Whether Robyn is partnered with a deaf child or adult, of whatever age, she will help them to feel connected with the world through their friendship.

Mind you, she really does look magnificent nowadays.

We love that photo. It's almost as if she's looking into the distance, contemplating her future as a hearing dog. And she looks so glossy and healthy.

Not to mention happy...

... actually, very happy...

... and wet!

Yes, we're talking about you again Robyn. You and your habit of getting as wet and as muddy as possible!

Some things never change. We called her a seadog in your last Puppy Pen Pupdate, and she's been to the beach again where she thoroughly enjoyed herself.

She was able to share the fun with her best pal Rodney.

And, again, looked magnificent (and wet).

There's something about black Labradors that is so attractive, how strong and yet sleek they are. One thing that hearing dogs do very well is to stimulate conversation - just out and about together, people notice hearing dogs because of their burgundy Hearing Dogs coats, and want to know more. Or, regular walks mean regular meet-ups with local friends and neighbours. Either way, Robyn being such a lovely looking dog, she's bound to stimulate conversation. And that's another way she'll help her eventual deaf partner.

One thing that's definitely emerging about Robyn is how boop-able her nose has become.

It's really, really boop-able!

BOOP!

So there you have Robyn. She's doing really well and has come a huge distance along her journey. The Puppy Four Star is a major hurdle, and soon we're hoping it'll all come together for her final Hearing Dogs exams. When that happens, we'll let you know.

Until then though, thank you again for supporting Robyn. It's your kindness that is making this possible. You're pawsome!

Hi, I'm Brendan. I write all your sponsor pup updates, printed and online. It's a hard life, writing about cute puppies who, with your support, will grow up to help deaf people leave loneliness behind. I am partially deaf myself, so I have some insights into the challenges deafness can bring. However, I don't have a dog of my own: I have two Maine Coon cats who are quite dog-like and take up most of my time!
